Former Graduate Student
Arianna completed her bachelor's degree in civil engineering at Florida A&M University in May of 2019. She took her first transportation engineering course during her senior year and by the third lecture she had signed up to partake in the university's connected vehicle research. She decided to pursue a master's at Purdue because of the cutting-edge research projects being undertaken and the accomplished professors leading them. Arianna also wanted a change in environment, and Indiana, especially its weather, has proven to be very different from Florida.
Aside from conducting research, Arianna also enjoys volunteering, working out, executing do-it-yourself (DIY) tasks, and catching up with friends. She also served as vice president for the Purdue Student Chapter of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) and as social chair for the Purdue Black Graduate Student Association (BGSA) in the 2020-2021 academic year. Arianna currently works for Transcend Engineers and Planners in Houston, Texas as a Traffic Engineer and Analyst.
